Our Groenvlei athletic team took to Green point stadium on the 23rd of February 2019, to represent our school’s colours in the champs of champs. A number of learners accompanied our lovely Ms. Pau, on this expedition. A fellow learner Tasneem Cookson brought home the bronze medal standing tall and proudly showing our competitors who they ae messing with, not forgetting our out of this world Javelin expert Chadley Lambert, getting us the gold and showing us a wonderful example of perseverance and persistence. These learners have shown courage to stand in an arena in front of more than one hundred spectators , and showing off their skills like the champs that they are, all of them might not have come out of the arena with a medal but to us all of them took the gold and we are extremely proud of them.
Quoting the words of an Olympic gold medalist, We all have dreams. But in order for dreams to become reality, it takes an awful amount of dedication, determination, self-discipline and every one of our athletes possessed those qualities in order for a dream to become reality.
