Every year the matriculants of Groenvlei High choose a beneficiary for whom they raise funds. The aim of the matriculants of 2018 was to raise R50 000 and they achieved this by hosting a cycle-a-thon and a Zumba session for the learners of the school. A few matriculants participated in the Cape Town Cycle Tour on the 11th of March 2018 and received R22 000 for their Outreach and Legacy Project. The highly anticipated Dance-a-thon is another event that the Grade 12’s host annually to achieve a specific target for their charity.
The Matrics have successfully reached their target of R50 000, half of which will be donated to their chosen charity. The other half will be donated to the school for their Legacy project. Thank you matriculants of 2018!
