Our very own students put Groenvlei High on the map when they won the 2018 Science Expo.
They spent weeks preparing with Ms. M Lalla memorizing dialogues and measurements for their experiments. Our science group slimmed the chances of any other high school winning by creating volcanic eruptions with their very own lifelike volcano and starting mini bonfires in a bowl. The battle between the host of the science expo (Oude Molen) and Groenvlei High was hot and sizzling but in the end only one school left with the trophy.
Mr. Ogilvie, a teacher at York Road primary, was a great help in preparing us for the competition so we, as Groenvlei High, should acknowledge and thank him for his assistance.
We’ve truly made history in the world of science!
