On the 10\03\2019 our school elected a team of 22 cyclists participating in the Cape Town Cycling tour. This team has faced many obstacles and gave it their very best when it came to training sessions, may it be in the school gym on a spin bike or even doing road training they have shown a high level of maturity required to do something as great. They had proudly represented Ari’s cancer foundation and our Ari’s Angel’s goal was to promote cancer awareness & healthy living. Seventeen of our 22 riders that had participated were first time development riders and we are proud to say that as a Groenvlei Family we managed all of them, to persevere and push through Sunday’s heavy winds and rain up and down mountains and its been proven that these cyclists didn’t do it for themselves they did it with a wonderful message written in their heart and I quote "One of our female riders when she said ‘when you cycling for a good cause and to get your message across why not challenge yourself to the extend and show necessary perseverance and determination needed to do so."
and we believe all our riders cycled with that they all our their hearts and they complete the Cape Town Cycle Tour but they most deffinatly got their message across.
